Healthcare team representing collaborative leadership in community care

Leadership

Stewardship with accountability — a Managing Committee elected by the General Body to carry the Society’s charitable purpose with integrity.

Founding Stewardship

People who built the institution

Kumar Health Welfare Society was constituted by community-minded founders and office-bearers who placed public health and social service at the centre of organisational life in Varanasi. Leadership today continues that charge through a formal Managing Committee structure set out in our registered bylaws.

How We Are Governed

General Body & Managing Committee

The Society comprises a General Assembly of members and a Managing Committee elected by a two-thirds majority. The Committee’s tenure is five years.

Office-bearers include the President (Chairperson), Vice-President, Manager/Secretary, and Treasurer, supported by additional members. Meetings require prescribed notice and quorum so decisions remain collective, documented, and lawful.

Annual accounts are subject to audit. Bank operations require joint signatures of the Manager/Secretary and Treasurer — a structural safeguard for every rupee entrusted to the Society.

Form sub-committees, guide health and welfare activities, and keep operations aligned with registered objectives and applicable law.

Public Trust

Maintain minutes, membership and stock registers, cash books, and annual audits — so accountability is practised, not merely promised.
